Julie Karen Eaton!

Well It's been about five days, things have kind of slowed down and I'm not super tired so I thought I would post pictures and tell you all about our beautiful little Julie.
I hope you dont mind all the detail, this is kind of my Journal entry 8) you can feel free to skim through if you want. 8)

Wednesday I had my midwife appointment, I was looking forward to it because I had been experiencing a lot of pressure on my cervix and random but strong pressure waves (contractions). It turns out I was about  4cm dilated and 90% effaced. I was 80% effaced and about 4 cm dilated the previous week.

I was so ready for my Julie to come, I had been feeling very waterlogged and was having a lot of hart burn, plus I was really excited to meet my baby girl.  I was hoping for more progress at my appointment but was glad that I was at least moving forward.

That night Fred went to a good bye party for our friends Audrey and Keven who are moving.
I stayed home, took a bath and watched a movie. Around 9:30 I texted Fred letting him know that I had had two pritty intense pressure waves about 15 min apart.

Fred then decided to come back home and be with me "just in case".  He got home around 10 and we spent the rest of the evening together watching the rest of my movie and some other internet videos.

I decided to head to bead around 11:00 or 11:30. I had not had any pressure waves other then the two I mentioned so I thought nothing was going to be happening that night.
At around 1:30 I was woken up by a rather intense pressure wave that lasted a few minutes. I waited until it was over,  got up and used the bathroom then went back to sleep. I didn't think any thing of it because this had happend quite a few times in the past week.
Then around 4:30 I was woken up by another intense pressure wave, I got up to go use the bathroom then suddenly my water broke.
After I cleaned up, I went over to Fred who had been sleeping through all of this, and woke him up by asking him if he wanted to have a baby today. He sleepily replied sure, why? then I told him that my water had broken. That really perked him up. 8)

It was pretty cute watching him hurry around collecting last minute things as I  sat on our bead as pressure waved came and went. I thought I would be able to stay home for a while then head up to the hospital but after discovering that my pressure waves were coming about every 3 to 2 minutes Fred insisted that we go and I'm glad he did. 8)

We arrived at the hospital at around 5:00am. were admitted and really got into the swing of things. I dont remember much of what was going on around me you will have to ask Fred about that but around an hour latter at 6:08 am Julie was born!!!!
She and I did such a great job! We thought she was born bald at first because of all of the white stuff ( I cant remember names of things at the moment) that covered her body but then we discovered that she actually had blond/white hair! a little on top and long locks in the back. she has the prettiest little mullet you ever did see.

After Julie and my placenta were born I was given a shot of patosin and then an IV of it for a bit to much bleeding. That seemed to help a lot and after a while I decided to get cleaned up.  I gave Julie to Fred and the nurse helped me into the shower. after I was done the nurse helped me get dried off. I think it was a combination of loosing a little to much blood and the hot stem in the bathroom because I passed out. then passed out again. It scared Fred but I thought it was nice, It was amazing how rested I felt after words.
I then rested, ate some food, fead Julie and watched her get her first bath then around 2:30 that afternoon we were moved into the mother baby unit.

Things have been great sense then, we had some great visitors at the hospital and on Saturday we brought our baby girl home!

We are doing great, Julie is a good eater and sleeper, she has a bit of Jaundice but we have gotten that taken care of hopefully. we well see at her Dr appointment today.

And here are some pictures of our beautiful girl.

                                                              Julie sucken her thumb 8)

Right after her bath, look at how rosy she looks now.

Just look at all that hair!

The nurse gave us this sweet hat, I think Julie makes it look good.

And here we are all ready to go home!

I LOVE it when Julie wakes up! I just love her eyes.

And here is Julie sporting one of the hats I made her. she looks like a little sheep.

My sweet girl 4 days old.

An Up Date

I thought I would post what I have been up to these past few days.

Lets see.... I loved conference, it was just what I had been needing.

On sunday I was watching conference when I notised that I was feeling a lot of pressure on my cervix. It would come and go along with some sporadic pressure waves (contractions) I was pretty excited but at the same time nervous because I was not 37 weeks yet and up at Madison Memorial If you have your baby when you are less then 37 weeks then the baby has to go to the NICU for observation for around 6 hours. even if you are 36 and 6 days and the baby is doing well.

On monday I called and scheduled an appointment to be checked. It turnes out I was almost 4 cm dilated! (3 and like 7/8.) I was a 2 last monday and around 80% effaced.

I've been taking it easy the past couple of days to try and make it to 37 weeks which in case you wanted to know I am today! YAY for full term babies!!!

The pressure on my cervix has continued and depending on what I am doning I have been having quite a few pressure waves. I personally don't think any thing is going to happen supper soon but it is nice to know my body and Julie are prepping for Julies birth.

Lets see.... I have also deep cleaned my bathroom (something I have been putting off for about... well you dont want to know how long 8))

I have been trying to keep up on my other chores and I have packed my hospital bag (I have never done that before)

Oh and I have almost completed my list of chores  to do before Julie comes! I am so proud of my self.

Well, I think that is about it. when I right it down it dosent seem like I have been up to much but I've felt bussy. (shrug) go figure 8)

Crochet Projects

I have in the past few years really gotten into crocheting, mostly hats, scarfs and things.
This past Christmas I decided to step out of my comfort zone and crochet Fred's Christmas present, Hobs from Calvin and Hobs. It was so much fun and I learnt A LOT about new stitches and crocheting. Thank you lady who made the pattern, U Tube and Google!
Then two to three months ago I found a pattern for a sheep toy that I just had to try out.
It was quite the experience but turned out ok. Once again thank you U Tube!
I thought I would share the finished products with you. I think they turned out pretty well.

This is Julie's Sheepie Toy.

It's body took FOREVER to finish, mainly because I ran out of yarn a few times and just procrastinated purchasing some new yarn. It sure is soft and snuggly though.

                                                                 Look at that cute face!

And this is Freds Hobbs, I think he turned out pretty well. 8)

Oh and Fred LOVE's hes Hobs.

Pictures!

Ok, so yesterday I finally took pictures of my house for ya'll to see.
It has taken me about three months to get my house back to pre pregnancy clean. well actually I am not totally there, I still need to clean my bathroom and organize the kitchen but other then that every thing is FABULOUS!!
I am SO proud of my self, It takes like three to five times the effort (depending on the day) to do things now compared to when I am not pregnant. It feels so good to be accomplishing my goals.
Well here they are.....Pictures!

Julie's area in our room, I really like how it turned out. 8)

                                                                         Julie's Crib
So fun story: I bought this crib and changing tabel/dresser like 4 months before I became pregnant with Julie. I was browsing craigslist and found them. the seller was in Idaho Falls. I called and arranged to come and look at it with intent to bye that night. It was crazy because they had just posted it and another lady was coming to "look at it"that night as well. So I headed to Idaho Falls not cretin that I would get the set (It was crazy!) but it was such a good deal that I had to. The other lady never showed up due to  messed up communication (she thought they were going to call her for a time to come and they thought she was going to call them) I am so glad I got the set though. I absolutely love it when things work out!

This is Julie's butterfly mobil, I LOVE how it turned out. I got the Idea from Poters more then a year ago. They had one set up in there craft area. (Mine is cuter if I do say so my self) I think Julie will like it (I sure do) and it was so simple to make, just time consuming.

NOTE: If any one alce wants to make one I have some extra suplies.

Changing tabel/dresser. In case you did not know I refurbished it. I really like how it turned out, It looks so much better then when I got it.

As soon as I found out Julie was a girl I started making bows and girly things. It was so much fun learning how to make them, then seeing how cute everything turned out. plus, it was so, SO much cheeper then purchasing them.
Julie is going to look super cute, like fred says "she'll make the bows look good".

This is Julie's diaper station, I LOVE seeing all her cute little cloth diapers all lined up and ready for her.

And here is the rest of our room in all it's clean-ness

My bead side table. Mychelle made the sweet flower for me when I had morning sickness. 8)

I love this picture. My mom panted it when she was in high school. It just goes perfectly with everything in our room plus it's just beautiful.

This is Freds side of the bead and Jeff's bead.

This is Julie's cradle swing. she will be sleeping in this for the first few months until she is big enough for her crib. I love how plush and snuggly it is.

Moving on. This is my little spot right outside of our bedroom and leading into the kitchen.

We have my books, Julie's baby books then photos.

This is our laundry room that leads into the back yard. It's really nice to have a separate space for laundry and kind of a mud room.

Check out how organized and awesome it all is! YAY ME!!!

This is my counter right in front of my sink. I really like my little plants and am so proud of how I havent killed them. I know they appreciate it too. 8)
I didn't take a picture of my sink because well it was full of dirty dishes, but hey who's sink isn't?

And just because he is awesome, here is our cookie monster. he is the best cookie jar ever.

On the other side of the kitchen is my sowing space. this took a long time to organize. I had stuff and projects up to the wazoo. but it looks so nice now and It feels good to know exactly what I have and where it all is.

Well that's all for now 8)

Happenings

It's been a while seance my last post. Nothing huge has has happend but I thought I would share the little things that have been going on on my life in case any one wanted to know. 8)

Lets see.... my house is looking so much better! I am slowly deep cleaning each room in preparation for Julie and just spring cleaning. so far I have cleaned my bedroom, laundry room kitchen and living room. the hard part of all of this is that I only have so much energy in a day.  which makes it so I can only get a little done at a time not to mention the up keep of the things I have already done. It's a type of taking two steps forward one step back. It is getting done though so im ok with it.
Ill post pictures soon (im not at home right now)

I had a doctor appointment on monday. I took the grope strep test I am kind of nervous  for the results. I was + with Tommy and I really dont want to be + with Julie. If I was then I would try using some natural antibiotics (like garlic) to try and kill off the grope B strep bacteria then take the test again. If I was + again then I would need to have antibiotics given to me for 4 hours during my birthing time so that Julie did not become exposed and or infected with it. It would just be so much simpler to be - but will see... hope hope!
I also went over my birth plan with my midwife. She was just fine with everything on it so we are good to go. I just need to make sure I bring a copy or two to the hospital  to give our nurse along with a treat. (I think ill bring cookies) bribery all the way man! well not exactly bribery but come on if some one brought you cookies it would definitely put them on your good side right. 8)
I am 1cm dilated and 80% effaced. I was really glad to hear this because it means that most likely nothing is going  to happen for the next couple of weeks. (sigh of relief) I am just fine with keeping Julie in me. at least until she is considered full term.

That's all I can think of, like I said nothing too exciting. 8)

Just Thoughts.

FYI this post is kind of a freakout/rant

I have been thinking a lot about bulling lately, I started reading Michael Vey the prisoner of cell 25 a day or two ago. It is really good so far but in it the main charactor Michael Vey is bullied. I also read a article in the news a few weeks ago about how special needs children who do not meet an unspoken standerd of normalcy don't have friends, especially when they reach the teen years.  This article was really hard for me to deal with at the time. I remember looking at Tommy thinking and hoping that when he grew up he would have friends, that he would not be bullied. I know here in Idaho we have good kids and I hope kids are nicer and we have less incidences of bulling, but it still freaks me out.

I was never bullied, I was one of the invisible kids that just did her own thing and that every one thought was smart (I guess I looked smart) but I was never popular and I remember my bigest wish was that I could have one best friend or even one good friend. I had good school friends but that was about it.

Its provably a lot of over abundant pregnancy hormone but I am just so worried that kids will pick on my baby, that when she grows up she will get bullied, and that I wont know or be able to do anything about it. Or even worse, that she will pick on others or just wont be friends to kids who really need a friend.
Its not like I can protect her from life, you know what I mean, but ill be darned if I let any one pick on my baby!

I guess all I can do is try and teach her to be kind and to notice the lone kid standing out, and to try and bild a open and honest relationship with her. (sigh) I havent even had Julie yet and I have her in elementary school. 8)

Sorry if this seems like im freaking out, I just needed to vent a little.
I just love my baby girl so much already and feel like a momma bear who knows her cub is in danger but dosen't have teeth or claws when it comes to things like this.

Pictures and Fun.

This last week I made the trip to Utah to visit my family and to attend a baby shower my lovely mom and sisters decided to through for me and Julie.
It was a ton of fun! I loved seeing my family and my friends from Utah who came to the baby shower. I havent seen some of them for such a long time.
My brother and sister-in-law just had an adorable baby girl in January and decided to send me her hand me downs. So now I am set with Newborn-3 months cloths, Yay!
now I just need 3 monts on up 8)
I am so excited to have my Julie in two monts, give or take a few weeks.

Speaking of my girl, when I was in Utah my sister Melanie took some super cute maternity pictures of me and Julie. Melanie is such an amazing photographer If you want to see them go to her blog at http://medalydia.blogspot.com/  Melanie is the best little sister EVER!

I came home yesterday and even though I had such a good time It sure is nice to be back home.
when I got home I had a surprise waiting for me. Fred shaved Jeff! he looks so puppyish and cute all shaved. I have also discovered that he is camera shy, te he he. I think he is weirded out by the shutter sound. but I got some pretty cute pictures of him after a few tries and bribing him with peaces of my sandwich.

I love how big his ears look.
